Our staff provides annual exams and physicals to patients from in and around Evergreen, Illinois at his practice, Southwest Urgent Care.
A physical exam begins with the collection of a medical history and checking a patient’s vital signs. The doctor checks the patient’s blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, and temperature. The doctor listens to the heart and lungs to determine whether there are any irregularities that could indicate heart disease or respiratory problems. Most physicians also check the head and neck including throat, tonsils, ears, nose, eyes, and lymph nodes at this time. A patient’s reflexes are also tested to ensure correct nerve response. Annual exams are also an opportunity for the patient to ask questions about his or her health or any physical, emotional, or mental changes experienced since the last visit.
